Renewable sources are indispensable, but nuclear makes sense as well
“Once renewables, integrated with energy storage, represent the majority of the energy mix in the European market, the prices will stabilise,” predicts Igor Steiner, our VP of Energy and Ecology in an article by Borut Tavčar at the newspaper Delo.
In the response to the most recent International Energy Agency (IEA) report, descriptively titled “Renewable sources are indispensable, but nuclear makes sense as well”, Igor also remarked on the necessity on prioritising smart allocation of investments over the sheer amount of them. “The distribution system needs to digitalise and evolve to accept a larger number of dispersed energy sources,” he says.
