H2020: “Integrirana proizvodnja reciklabilnih večmaterialnih kompozitov za transportni sektor”

Oktobra leta 2017 smo kot partnerji mednarodnega konzorcija 13ih evropskih partnerjev iz 7ih držav začeli z izvajanjem razvojno raziskovalnega projekta RECOTRANS v okviru Obzorja 2020.

Projekt RECOTRANS bo obsegal integracijo nekonvencionalnih proizvodnih tehnologij kot sta mikrovalovno sevanje in lasersko spajanje v obstoječe proizvodne linije kompozitnih materialov (pultruzija in RTM – smolni transferni kalupi). S tem bo možno pridobiti cenovno učinkovite reciklabilne večmaterialne kompozite, primerne za širšo proizvodnjo znotraj transportnega sektorja. Cilji rešitev projekta RECOTRANS so zmanjšanje stroškov, časa proizvodnje in porabe enregije pri proizvodnji kompozitnih materialov.

Za nadzor in zagotavljanje kakovosti inovativnih procesov bo v proizvodne linije integriran pametni nadzorni sistem.

RECOTRANS Project 6 Months Meeting

The second consortium meeting of the RECOTRANS Project, coordinated by AIMPLAS, was held on the 9th March, in coincidence with its 6 months of live.

The objective of this project is to create a new manufacturing system for obtaining multi-material metal composites products suitable for the transport industry, obtaining high quality lightweight multi-materials at high production rates; reducing production cost, energy consumption and time to market and contributing to reduce CO2 emissions.

The meeting, organized by ARKEMA, was held in Paris, where the most relevant European event in the field of composites, JEC World 2018 was taking place. Additionally, in a conference in this event, the main researcher of the project from AIMPLAS, Anabel Crespo, explained the objectives and progress of the project.

During the meeting, the 13 project partners from 7 different countries could share their progress on the project, work on technical details and to define next steps to be taken.

In the first 6 months of the project, the progress has been focused on the requirements definition, either from the material and production system, for the three demonstrators that will be produced in the project (parts for automotive, truck and railway sector), together with the selection and adaptation of materials. The consortium has also published the first public deliverable of the project about regulatory, standardization and safety issues in the transport sector, which is available through the project website www.recotransproject.eu.

Next steps will be the definition and design of the three demonstrators, the final formulation of the materials, the definitions of the laser technology parameters and the integration of the microwave technology into the Resin Transfer Moulding and pultrusion lines.
