Mixing plant automation has a multi-level design:

• The first level is the automation of transports, mixers, pellet mills and other devices including level measurements in silos. This level is executed with Mitsubishi controllers and operator panels.
• The second level is SCADA application for control and remote control. It is implemented on PCs.
• The third level is the manufacturing informatics level and it is provided by mixing-support software (recipes, production orders, delivery notes, etc.). This level is directly linked with the business information system of the factory from which plans are received and where realization is reported.
