CHP - Combined Heat and Power Generation

In the CHP field we offer investors the carrying out of all activities that are needed for the optimal integration of CHP or trigeneration to an existing or a new energy system of a company or institution:

  • Feasibility assessment, feasibility study, investment documentation
  • Complete project design documentation (project for construction permit, design project for implementation, as-built project)
  • Construction of CHP on "functional turn-key" basis
  • Maintenance in warranty and post-warranty periods
  • Remote monitoring of CHP operation
  • Technical consulting.

Constinued price increases of electrical and thermal energy, CO2 emission costs and a reliable power supply are everyday problems of everybody who provides power supply. Cogeneration (CHP) plants enable efficient use of primary energy (more than 80% total efficiency), reduction of energy costs and reduction of CO2 emissions. Thermal energy from CHP can also be used for the production of cooling energy with the assistance of absorption and adsorption coolers (trigeneration).

The national energy program envisages that electrical energy generation with CHP plants will have doubled by 2010.

Objectives

  • Reduction of energy costs.
  • Reduction of CO2 emissions.
  • More reliable power supply.
  • Production of cooling energy.

Effects

With systematic work based on experiences and the use of new knowledge in close connection with technological partners, we successfully achieve effects that we have estimated in our feasibility assessments, studies and investment documentations.

The average time period for the return of investment in CHP equipment is 4-5 years.

POSSIBLE IMPLEMENTATIONS OF CHP SYSTEMS

CHP systems operate on one of the following fuel types:

  • Natural gas,
  • Propane,
  • Bio gas (purification plants, landfills, animal or plant waste),
  • Diesel fuel,
  • Bio diesel,
  • Wood bio mass.

Types of CHP plants regarding the used technology:

  • Internal combustion engine § Turbine (gas or liquid fuel),
  • Steam turbine,
  • ORC turbine,
  • Stirling engine,
  • Steam engine motor,
  • Propeller motor.

Field of application:

  • Industrial and technological plants with constant consumption of thermal(or cooling) energy,
  • Residential complexes (heating plants, boiler rooms),
  • School complexes,
  • Pools,
  • Business buildings,
  • Hospitals,
  • Purification plants,
  • Landfills,
  • Farms.
