Production Monitoring
i4PROS (pronounced “ifourpros” or “ipros”?) is a production monitoring and management information system. It provides information that enables optimization of production activities from the issuance of a production order to its realization. It directs and establishes production activities, reacts to them and reports on them, everything in real time.
It can be integrated with the existing information systems: a business information system, different control systems, etc.
i4PROS is composed of different application modules, which enable efficient production monitoring.
It presents a user-friendly, interactive support to users (workers, plant manager and others) at their work: it is designed, on the one hand, to offer an up-to-date review of production orders, manual allocation of production orders to machines and to enable access to the implementation of the prepared plan; and on the other hand it enables a simple entry of required data (manual or automatic), updating, and the review of entered data.

Production Control and Monitoring
Production control and monitoring function enables the review of the current state of the entire production process:
- Control over the entire production process,
- Control over the quantities of materials and products (by individual operations and work orders).
Product Traceability
Due to the growing requirements of buyers and legal regulators for detailed product information, we can trace products only through built-in materials, semi-manufactured products, production resources, associated qualitative and important process data.
Production Resource Control and Monitoring
This function enables the review of the state and occupancy of production resources.
Within the system framework we can monitor:
- People,
- Machinery.
The people monitoring function provides a review of employees’ work, the number of hours worked, the work type and enables dynamic generation and change of working groups.
Machinery monitoring provides the review of the machinery operation, the number of products, defects and standstills
Reviews and Reports
i4PROS enables the generation of different production reviews and reports, for ex. general production reports, reports on production resources and quality reports.
Production Efficiency Monitoring
i4PROS provides monitoring of and reporting on actual effects of the production process (operations) in comparison with the history and the plan. Effect indicators include the following parameters: resource utilization rate and availability, production time, compliance with the plan, total efficiency and qualitative characteristics.
Long-term Storage of Production Information
i4PROS provides the storage of all defined production information for a long time frame. This enables the survey of these data through history.
Used technologies
i4PROS is designed on the up-to-date .NET technology. Business logic is executed on the server, and Human Machine Interface (HMI) as Windows and WEB applications. This is a robust system structure, program execution is fast and system maintenance is simplified as the application is not dispersed on many PCs. Windows applications are downloaded to local PCs automatically from the server, which additionally facilitates system maintenance. WEB applications need only WEB browser (for ex. MS Internet Explorer, Mozzila) for operation.
i4PROS operates as a multi-user environment, and it is designed on the basis of a multi-level client/server architecture. The levels (clients, server and data services, for ex. MS SQL database, Oracle) can be allocated to different modes and this enables great flexibility.
